Should You Apply?
Candidates should first register on the NAPS portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) for trade apprentices and on the NATS portal (https://www.nats.education.gov.in) for diploma and graduate apprentices. Ensure your Aadhaar is seeded with a bank account and gather all required certificates (caste, income, disability if applicable). The selection process prioritises local candidates within a 16‑km radius of the NAPS site; thereafter, marks in the relevant trade or discipline are considered, with tie‑breakers based on earlier date of birth and higher 10th‑class marks. As there is no data from the previous cycle in the provided facts, a direct comparison cannot be made, but the age relaxation policy remains consistent with Government of India orders.
