Should You Apply?

This drive offers a rare entry route into the Indian Railways for skilled artists. With only two vacancies—one for Classical Dance and one for Mridangam—competition hinges heavily on performance rather than pure written scores alone. The selection allocates 50 marks to the written exam/CBT and 50 marks to the practical demonstration (35 marks for the practical talent test and 15 marks for certificates and awards). Candidates should ensure their cultural credentials are from government-recognized institutions and prepare a polished practical performance alongside fundamental general awareness for the written exam.
