DV day tips

  • Carry originals and two sets of self-attested photocopies of everything.
  • Names, father’s name and date of birth must match across documents — if not, carry a gazette notification or affidavit.
  • Results must have been declared by the cut-off date in the notification; keep the result date proof if it was close.
  • Carry the same photo ID you entered in the form and extra passport photos.

Which documents are needed for SSC document verification?+

Admit card, photo ID, Class 10 and higher education certificates and marksheets, category certificate in the prescribed format if claimed, NOC if employed, and photographs.

Is a state OBC certificate valid for central government jobs?+

No. Central jobs need the OBC-NCL certificate in the central format, and your caste must be on the central OBC list.

Which year’s EWS certificate is needed?+

The one for the financial year stated in the notification (usually based on income of the previous financial year). Get a fresh one each year.

Do I need an NOC if I am already in a government job?+

Yes. Most recruitments ask for an NOC from your employer, at least at document verification.
