About the scheme

The scheme, run by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, aims to familiarize interns with the Ministry’s functioning, programmes and policy in renewable energy, and to generate inputs like analysis, technical reports and policy papers. Internships last between two and six months, with a maximum of 20 interns per year, offered twice a year based on MNRE requirement.

How to apply

The internship is available twice a year based on the MNRE requirement.

How many interns are taken every year?+

A maximum of 20 interns will be provided internships per year.

What shall be the duration of the internship?+

The duration will be from two to six months to be counted from the day of the start of the internship.

Will logistic support be provided by the MNRE to the interns?+

Logistic Support: Ministry of New and Renewable Energy shall provide them with internet facilities and other necessities deemed fit by the concerned Heads for physical internship. Interns will be required to have their own Laptops. They shall also make their own lodging and boarding arrangements.

Does this internship guarantee placement in MNRE?+

There will be no commitment to the placement of interns in the Ministry or allied/ subordinate organizations.
