About the scheme

The Incredible India Bed & Breakfast (IIBBE) scheme, run by the Ministry of Tourism, aims to create a uniform standard for Bed & Breakfast accommodation across states that lack their own accreditation system. Establishments inspected by a Regional Classification Committee receive Silver or Gold status, are listed in an official directory and promoted to domestic and foreign tourists. Interested operators may also access short‑term hospitality training to improve service quality.

Who can apply (eligibility)

• The applicant must be the owner or promoter of the establishment.
• The owner or promoter must not reside in the establishment.
• The applicant must appoint an agent or operator who resides at the establishment premises.
• The agent or operator must provide necessary services to guests.
• The establishment must have a minimum of 1 lettable room.
• The establishment must have a maximum of 6 lettable rooms.
• The establishment must have a maximum capacity of 12 beds.
• The establishment must operate on a bed and breakfast basis.
• The breakfast type offered must be specified.
• The applicable charges must be displayed.
• Guests must be informed of the charges in advance.

Documents required

• GST & PAN Number of the unit
• FSSAI License Number, if applicable
• Any other documents as required.

How to apply

1. 1Visit the Hotel Cloud NIC portal at https://wvvw.hotelclould.nic.in/.
2. 2Select the appropriate category (Silver or Gold) for the application.
3. 3Fill in the online application form with the required details.
4. 4Upload the prescribed documents and complete the online checklist, wherever applicable.
5. 5Pay the prescribed application fee through digital mode only.
6. 6Submit the online application for approval.
7. 7If applying for an extension, submit the extension application online through the same portal and pay the applicable fee.
8. 8After submission, the application will be processed by the Ministry of Tourism according to scheme guidelines.
