About the scheme

The AICTE Short Term Training Programme‑SFURTI is a central scheme that gives financial help to AICTE approved institutions to conduct faculty and student training. The aim is to build skills that enable participants to prepare research work and develop small‑scale businesses. The scheme is managed by AICTE with support from the Indian Micro Enterprises Development Foundation (IMEDF).

How to apply

1. 1Visit the AICTE partner portal and click 'New Institute'.
2. 2On the redirected site, hover over Login and select 'Investor Login'.
3. 3Click 'Sign Up Now' to register as a new user.
4. 4Enter details and click 'Verify' to receive an OTP on your email and mobile.
5. 5After verification, click 'Sign Up Now' to complete registration.
6. 6Log in to the partner portal with your credentials.
7. 7Navigate to the AQIS Application screen by clicking the 'AQIS Application' tab.
8. 8The institute details will auto‑populate; fill in demographic and bank details.
9. 9Confirm bank details and click 'New' to create a new AQIS Application.
10. 10Select 'SHORT TERM TRAINING PROGRAMME‑SFURTI SCHEME' from the scheme drop‑down list.
11. 11Enter programme details, expected personalities, participating industries, similar events, budget estimate, academic credentials, justification, and institute credentials.
12. 12Click 'Validate Application' on the AQIS Application tab.
13. 13Attach the Mandate Form after downloading the sample form.
14. 14Enter the total funds requested under 'Budget Estimates Others'.
15. 15Read the declaration, check it, and click 'Save'.
16. 16Click 'Submit' to submit the application.
