- Boys and girls belonging to Scheduled Caste Community studying from VI to X Standard
- Student must be a native of the Union Territory of Puducherry by birth or having residence for a continuous period of not less than five years
- Student must continue studies satisfactorily, securing promotion to the next higher class annually
- Annual income of parent/guardian shall not exceed ₹24,000

- 1Visit the National Scholarship Portal at https://scholarships.gov.in/ and click “New Registration” to register, providing accurate information as per documents.
- 2After successful registration, note the Student Registration ID.
- 3Log in using the Student Registration ID via the “Fresh Application” option.
- 4On the welcome page, click the “Application Form” icon to open the application screen.
- 5Fill in the complete application form and click “Final Submit” to submit.
- 6On successful submission, a system‑generated registration number is sent for future reference.

What is the objective of the scheme?+
The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to Scheduled Caste students to complete their education up to the secondary level and to avoid dropping out of the Scheduled Caste students from their education.

Yes, the student should be a native of the Union Territory of Puducherry by virtue of birth or having residence for a continuous period of not less than five years.
What is the income criterion for applying under the scheme?+
The annual income of the parent/guardian shall not exceed ₹24,000/-. However, the annual income of the parents/guardians shall not exceed the limit of income for the below poverty line prescribed by the Government from time to time.
What is the benefit of the scheme?+
The Scholarship shall be granted in an academic year at the following rates: 1. ₹1,500/- per annum per student from VI to VIII Standard. 2. ₹2,500/- per annum per student from IX & X Standard.
